3M(TM) Scotch-Weld(TM) Hydraulic Sealant HP42 is a single-component, medium-strength thread sealant designed for high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic pipe systems. Hydraulic sealant HP42 cures when applied between close-fitting metal surfaces and when air is excluded. The special adhesive helps alleviate common issues that hinder hydraulic and pneumatic pipe system performance. Formulated to lock and seal fine to medium pipe threads, particularly for hydraulic and pneumatic pipe systems, up to 15mm pipe diameter. Prevents vibration loosening and leakage through the pipe threads. Will give medium strength break and prevail torque on assembled joints, thus enabling easier disassembly and servicing. Pipe joints made with HP42 should be fully torque up within a maximum of 10 minutes from initial assembly.
